Municipal Election 2023 – November 7th

The Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The preliminary will be citywide for the offices of Mayor, Councilor-at-Large, School Committee, as well as each ward Councilor.

Last day to register to vote for the Municipal Election is Friday, October 27, 2023. The City Clerk’s office will remain open until 5:00 p.m. for those who want to register in person. Otherwise, you may register to vote online at the following link:  On-Line Voter Registration.

Absentee Ballots and Vote by Mail Applications

Absentee ballots are available for all eligible voters for the 2023 Municipal Election. A written application must be filed by all voters seeking to vote by absentee ballot. Ballots may be mailed to voters upon written request. A voter may also vote by absentee ballot in the office of the City Clerk.

Last day to apply for a vote by mail application for the Municipal Election is Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The application must be received in the City Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m. If the application is being sent through the mail, the application still must be received in the office by 5:00 p.m., as a postmarked date of October 31, 2023 is not sufficient.

Last day to apply for an absentee ballot (in person) for the Preliminary Election is Monday, November 6, 2023 at 12:00 noon.

The Municipal Preliminary Election will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The preliminary will be citywide for the office of Mayor.

Last day to register to vote for the Municipal Preliminary Election is Friday, August 25, 2023. The City Clerk’s office will remain open until 5:00 p.m. for those who want to register in person. Otherwise, you may register to vote online at the following link:  On-Line Voter Registration.
