Looking ahead to the City Municipal Elections

The City of Woburn will hold municipal elections in calendar year 2023 for the offices of Mayor, Councilor At Large, Ward Councilor and School Committee Members. A Preliminary Election has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 5, 2023, if needed. There will be a Preliminary Election for a particular office if there are three or more candidates for Mayor, five or more candidates for Councilor-at-Large, three or more candidates for Ward Councilor, or eleven or more candidates for School Committee. If a particular office does not meet those participation levels, candidates for that office will appear on the Municipal Election ballot without a Preliminary Election. The Municipal Election will be held citywide on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Polls are open for both elections from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The 2023 Municipal Election calendar is at 2023 Municipal Election Calendar.
