You can help your community, take a direct role in the democratic process and earn a little money by serving as a poll worker. Appointments are made during the summer each year by the Mayor with confirmation by the City Council. Poll workers are assigned by the Board of Registrars. The stipend for each position is $265 per day for wardens, $240 per day for clerks and $110 per day for inspectors. You must attend a training session approximately one week before each election day to learn of any changes that apply for that election.
