Presidential Primary Election 2024 – March 5th

The Presidential Primary Election 2024 will be held on March 5, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The primary will be citywide for the races of President Preference, State Committee Man, State Committee Woman, and Ward Committee. There will be three ballot styles available based on party enrollment: Democratic, Republican, Libertarian.

Last day to register to vote for the Presidential Primary Election is Saturday, February 24, 2024. The City Clerk’s office will remain open until 5:00 p.m. for those who want to register in person. Otherwise, you may register to vote online at the following link:  On-Line Voter Registration.

Absentee Ballots and Vote by Mail Applications

Absentee ballots are available for all eligible voters for the 2024 Presidential Primary. A written application must be filed by all voters seeking to vote by absentee ballot. Ballots may be mailed to voters upon written request. A voter may also vote by absentee ballot in the office of the City Clerk.

Last day to apply for a vote by mail application for the Primary Election is Tuesday, February 27, 2024. The application must be received in the City Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m. If the application is being sent through the mail, the application still must be received in the office by 5:00 p.m., as a postmarked date of February 27, 2024 is not sufficient.

Last day to apply for an absentee ballot (in person) for the Primary Election is Monday, March 4, 2024 at 12:00 noon.

At the “old Wyman School” at 679 Main Street at the intersection with Eaton Avenue. Enter through the Newbury Street doors.

Days and Hours:

Saturday, February 24th 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 25th 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Monday, February 26th 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, February 27th  9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, February 28th 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, February 29th  9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday, March 1st 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The hours are the same as City Hall regular hours in addition to hours on Saturday and Sunday.
