The 60-acre former Kraft Food manufacturing site in East Woburn is getting a new life. Construction is well underway on a new mixed-use development known as “The Vale”, which will consist of 900,000 square feet of offices, lab space, research and development buildings, and retail and institutional uses. The project will also include residential townhomes, multi-family housing, and a senior living facility with nearly 200 independent, assisted living, and memory care units.
The first phase of construction is nearing completion with the senior living facility, town homes and apartments expected to open in the early Fall of 2023. Work on phase two, the commercial portion of the project, will be ongoing.
