Absentee Ballots and Vote by Mail Applications
Absentee ballots are available for all eligible voters for the 2023 Municipal Election. A written application must be filed by all voters seeking to vote by absentee ballot. Ballots may be mailed to voters upon written request. A voter may also vote by absentee ballot in the office of the City Clerk.

Last day to apply for a vote by mail application for the Municipal Election is Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The application must be received in the City Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m. If the application is being sent through the mail, the application still must be received in the office by 5:00 p.m., as a postmarked date of October 31, 2023 is not sufficient.
Last day to apply for an absentee ballot (in person) for the Municipal Election is Monday, November 6, 2023 at 12:00 noon.
The 2023 Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The election will be held citywide for the offices of Mayor, Councilor-at-Large, and School Committee, as well as Councilor for each ward.
