The following City Council Committees will meet on Monday, September 25, 2023, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Committee Room, Woburn City Hall, 10 Common Street, Woburn, MA. The following is a list of topics that, at the time of posting, the Committee Chairs reasonably anticipate will be discussed at the meeting. The order of the matters may be amended at the meeting.

Agenda

Committee on Ordinances, Charter & Rules, 6 p.m.

  1. Reading and approval of meeting minutes of September 12, 2023.
  2. Order amending WMC Section 3-6, Disposal of old and unnecessary material.
  3. Order amending WMC Title 16, Sexual Harassment Policy and Procedure.

 Committee on Liaison, following Ordinances, Charter & Rules

  1. Reading and approval of meeting minutes of November 27, 2017; March 8, 2021; and January 9, 2023.
  2. Pursuant to City Council Rule 36, receipt and placement on file of the following items that have been in committee for more than 24 months:  Resolve to review the conditions and requirements of the Eversource project to install a 345kV transmission line (2/11/2020); Communication from Veterans Agent relative to Ferullo Field and the flagpole project (11/17/2020); Communication dated May 10, 2021, from Richard M. Haggerty, State Representative, 30th Middlesex District; A document entitled “WPS Updates – December 7, 2020”; A memorandum from the City Solicitor entitled “Re: NAI Inc. vs. Woburn City Council” (1/14/21); An email from State Rep. Richard Haggerty regarding Covid-19 emergency provisions (6/1/2021); Resumes for Ward 7 Councilor candidates (3/24/2021).
  3. Resolve for Committee on Liaison to meet with the Mayor to discuss migrant families.
  4. Order authorizing Mayor to participate in Massachusetts Property Assessed Clean Energy Program (PACE Massachusetts).

 Committee on Personnel, following Liaison

  1. Reading and approval of meeting minutes of September 12, 2023.
  2. Order that the Committee on Personnel begin the process to fill the vacancy in the position of Electrical Inspector (Inspector of Wires). The committee may meet in executive session pursuant to MGL 30A, §21(a)(8).

 Committee on Public Safety & Licenses, following Personnel

  1. Reading and approval of meeting minutes of June 26, 2023.
  2. Petition for renewal of First Class Motor Vehicles Sales Licenses by M&L Transit Systems, Inc., 60 Olympia Avenue.
  3. Petitions for renewal of Second Class Motor Vehicles Sales Licenses by the following:  David Dellarocco dba Woburn Auto Sales, 5 Crescent Avenue, #4; Bob McSheffrey Auto Sales, 880 Main Street; Woburn Classic Auto Sales, 13 Fowle Street; McSheffrey Auto Sales Inc., 878 Main Street; ACT Leasing, Inc., 215 Salem Street; Kenneth L. O’Connor dba City Line Motors, 30 Rear Torrice Drive; and Ollie’s Service Center, 310 Main Street.
