The following City Council Committees will meet on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Committee Room, Woburn City Hall, 10 Common Street, Woburn, MA. The following is a list of topics that, at the time of posting, the Committee Chairs reasonably anticipate will be discussed at the meeting. The order of the matters may be amended at the meeting.

Committee on Special Permits, at 6 p.m.

  1. Reading of meeting minutes of November 28, 2023
  2. Chick-fil-A, Inc. for a special permit to allow for the following pursuant to the WZO:  (1) fast food restaurant pursuant to Section 5.1(29); (2) alteration of the existing nonconforming structure to allow for a new structure as shown on Site Plan pursuant to Section 7.3; and (3) parking requirements to be met on a separate lot, as shown on Site Plan pursuant to Section 8.3.1, at 17 Commerce Way
  3. Sun Tree Estates, LLC for a special permit under Sections 5.1(12) and 8.3.1 of the WZO to allow for a child care center and shared parking with adjacent premise, at 205 and 213 Cambridge Road 

Committee on Ordinances, Charter & Rules, following Special Permits

  1. Reading of meeting minutes of November 13, 2023
  2. Order to amend Title 3, Section 3-25(E) of the Woburn Municipal Code, to increase the Senior Citizen Property Tax Work Off Program from $1,500 to $2,000
  3. Order to amend Title 2, Article III, Section 2-12(A) of the Woburn Municipal Code by deleting Mayor Clerical Assistance and replace with Assistant to the Mayor for Community Outreach
  4. Order to amend Title 2, Article XXVIII, Section 2-180 of the Woburn Municipal Code, by establishing the base salary of the Assistant to the Mayor for Community Outreach

Committee on Public Safety & License, following Ordinance, Charter & Rules

  1. Reading of meeting minutes of November 28, 2023
  2. Petitions for renewal of First Class Motor Vehicles Sales License by the following: Gordon Colonial Inc., 201 Cambridge Road, Northeast Tree Inc., 62 Holton Street.
  3. Petitions for renewal of Second Class Motor Vehicles Sales Licenses by the following: Anchor Auto Sales, Inc., 3 Breed Ave; Murray Enterprises, Inc., 89 Winn Street; JFSO Auto Sales, LLC, 84-86 Winn Street; McSheffrey’s -SE, LLC d/b/a Mcsheffrey’s of the South End, 75 Main Street; Tracy M.
