This upcoming community meeting is an important opportunity to share your ideas and provide feedback. We’ll be discussing the current status of the project and gathering input on what residents believe should be prioritized moving forward.
Our focus is safety and operational improvements and includes the reconfiguration of the Woburn Common rotary to a more traditional configuration. The project includes Main Street from Salem Street to High Street, Pleasant Street from the Woburn Common to Court Street and Montvale Avenue from Main Street to Greenwood Avenue. The project will include roadway reconstruction, reconstruction of sidewalk, and bicycle accommodation.
The great news is this will be largely funded by federal and state funds. The project will be consistent with Woburn’s adopted Complete Streets policy. The project is 100% construction funded (80% federal funds / 20% state funds). The city is responsible for design, environmental permitting and right-of-way.
