On Friday June 9th, Mayor Scott Galvin hosted a meeting with the business community and property owners from the New Boston Street Area to provide an update on the construction of the new bridge as well as gather feedback from attendees. Over 50 attendees were at the event. City Engineer Jay Corey and project engineers from VHB provided an update on the construction of the new bridge across New Boston Street. Economic Development Manager Casey Hagerty and Planning Director Tina Cassidy gave an update about proposed development projects in the area. The meeting was then opened up to open conversation where topics such as zoning, infrastructure, transportation, and streetscape improvements were discussed. In the Fall, City Staff plans to begin the process to study the New Boston Street Area in more detail.
